Moving day’s exciting. It’s the first day of your new life in your new home–something you’ve been looking forward to for a long time. While we can’t be there for everyone’s moving day, we can provide you everything you need to survive it. So here are our tips to get you through the day so you can enjoy your home as soon as you step foot inside your front door.
Bring in any area rugs first and lay them exactly where you want them, this way you don’t have to move all your boxes and furniture around later to make room to put them down.
A tape measure to ensure everything fits exactly where you want it.
New lamps shades and light bulbs and extension cords so everything is up and running immediately, new picture hangers, level and a hammer, furniture pads so you don’t scratch those beautiful new wood floors, trash bags and hand soap (it gets dirty), new hangers, scissors, box cutters, deodorant and Excedrin, just in case!
A fanny pack…this way you have all your supplies at your fingertips while running around the house.
A portable iPod dock, you will need good tunes while working!
And don’t forget a few rolls of toilet paper; you haven’t done your grocery shopping yet!
Finally, there is nothing better than a freshly picked flower arrangement to say there’s no place like home.
