If you haven’t already heard, we here at NBA are huge dog (any animal really) lovers. I am also a big runner and what can be more fun than running with your dog! IRONDOG is a great cause that has combined the two loves into one great cause, it is one of my favorite charities. You can help participate by running with us on March 30th in East Lansing MI at their next 5K fundraiser!

IRONDOG is one of my favorite charities. They raise money for animals whose owners cannot afford their medical care. IRONDOG members raise pledges for completion of endurance athletic events. These funds will be used to support the medical and surgical management of dogs and cats hospitalized at Michigan State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital. With the increasing cost of veterinary care and the current state of Michigan’s economy, many pet owners are forced to make difficult decisions based on financial constraints. In many of these cases, curative treatment options are available, yet not affordable.
