I have been the Office Manager at Nate Berkus Associates and Entertainment for 9 years this fall. 8 years ago my husband and I fell in love and adopted the sweetest French bulldog and beagle mix with a crooked tail. We named him Doug.

I asked Nate for permission to bring him to the office with me and thankfully he said yes. I made sure to get there early that day so that when Nate walked in he would see my new puppy and fall in love, just as I did. Doug has been a fixture at the Nate Berkus offices ever since.

Each morning he waits anxiously for me to get ready, as he is not letting me slip out the door without him. Once at the office, when he is not sleeping, Doug loves to run around with his friends Bobby, Jerome, Lili and Violet. He knows he has to be on his best behavior at the office but often goes to “time out” when he barks too much while playing. It’s amazing to be able to step away from your workload for a minute and take him for a walk or throw a toy and watch the dogs playing together. Our four-legged babies make our days less stressful and add so much to what I already believe is an amazing work environment. When he is not at the office he is home keeping a watchful eye over my daughter Parker and my son Oscar.
