Ask Team Nate

_ This month’s “Ask Team Nate” question comes to us from Tiffany Santucci-Kelly. Tiffany asked how to update her windows from outdated vertical blinds to something more modern, while still allowing her to let in plenty of sunlight and have privacy. The best way to create privacy is a woven blind with a blackout backing that is easily lowered and raised. However, if custom windows aren’t something you’re willing to invest in right now, consider layering your window panels. A simple brass double curtain rod hung slightly above the window frame with sheer window panels underneath and a heavier panel on top is a great way to let sunlight in during the day, while still having the option to close the solid panels at night for privacy.
