When I first started designing products, I was amazed at how far in advance you have to work. In fact, as I type this, I'm already working on the collection for spring 2014! It seems like a lot of time, but each step is important when you want to get it right. Tara, Meredith, Kristin and I...consider every single detail of every single object. It's a lot of work. But then there's the moment that makes it all worth it. You get to take it home and it gets to be a part of your story. I love that. I have to admit, I'm always curious who likes what. Secretly I live for the Instagram pictures people send me of what they bought or where one of my designs landed in their homes. That's why it made me smile when my own team, who’d, worked on it day in and day out for over a year and half, headed to Target to buy what they loved most in the line. I had to share the funny pics of them in the aisle, including the one of my office manager's daughter, Parker. She said the silver dipped shell made her happy and would be a much better bookend than the one she already had. Love that. Thanks to them for their work and their wanting to share...and thanks to all of you who did the same. I design the line because I love it and it's always my greatest hope that you'll love it too...photo proof not required but always welcome!
