Since Nate Berkus established his multi-disciplinary, award-winning interior design firm at the age of 24, his approachable and elevated philosophy has transformed countless homes around the world.

  • The firm’s design work has been featured in the pages of Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, ELLE Décor, Traditional Home, Harper’s Bazaar, VOGUE, and ELLE, among other US and international publications. After 20 years, Nate remains at the helm of Nate Berkus Associates together with Design Directors, Lauren Buxbaum & Sasha Adler.

     

    Headquartered in Chicago, they lead a highly energetic and collaborative team that works on high end residential and commercial projects, worldwide. Rooted in the philosophy that your home should tell your story, Lauren and Sasha utilize their distinctive points of view to create memorable and inspired spaces. With a marked understanding of antiques, textiles, fine art and custom design, they bring a timeless and refined vision to every project.

  • LAUREN BUXBAUM GORDON

    Lauren Buxbaum Gordon has been an integral part of the firm for over 15 years. The daughter of prominent Chicago-based antiques dealers, her love of interior design was forged at an early age and shaped by countless buying trips around the world. Lauren brings her innate style and extensive knowledge to every project, as well as a keen understanding of scale and the ability to discern exactly the right elements for a space. She is constantly sourcing unique objets d’art and inspiration for the firm’s A-list clientele.

     

    Lauren holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and an Interior Design degree from the Harrington Institute of Interior Design. She lives in Chicago with her family.

  • SASHA ADLER

    Sasha Adler began her career as a fashion editor in New York before transitioning to interior design. With over a decade of experience at Nate Berkus Associates, she has gone on to spearhead some of the firm’s most distinctive projects. Sasha’s design aesthetic is influenced by an eclectic mix of modern artwork, fashion, vintage jewelry and travel from around the world. Her innate sensibility for style, scale and creativity can be seen in the firm’s finished interiors.

     

    Sasha holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan. She lives in Chicago with her husband and their two children.

  • ALISON WILCOX

    Having been with Nate Berkus Associates for almost 15 years, Alison in an invaluable part of the design firm. In her role as Director of Project Management, she supervises every facet of a project; from architectural elements down to the smallest finishing details. With an innate understanding of what it takes to execute a high end renovation from start to finish, she works hand in hand with the design team to bring every interior to life, problem solving and managing deadlines and budgets with seamless precision.

     

    Alison holds a Bachelor of Arts from The Ohio State University and an Interior Design degree from the Harrington Institute of Interior Design. She lives in Chicago.

  • LAUREN ASHLEY ALLAN

    Lauren Ashley Allan has been Creative Director at Nate Berkus Associates for almost two years, previously working with Kelly Wearstler in Los Angeles. With over a decade of experience, Lauren has a unique portfolio of both high-end residential and boutique hotel work, collaborating with a roster of A-list clientele. Her modern aesthetic is steeped in references from historical architecture, furniture and vintage textiles. She has proven success in building multi-million dollar projects from the initial concept stages through completion of construction and turn-key installs.

     

    Lauren holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Miami University and a Master of Architecture from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). She resides in Chicago with her husband.
