Everyone’s been talking to me for months, even my mother, about getting on Facebook and “tweeting” on Twitter. At first I resisted. I just wasn’t sure I was the type of guy who would actually send out updates about going to get coffee or what I was watching on TV, but this past week I caught the bug. Even I have to admit that I’m hooked. It’s fascinating hearing what people are up to and peering into their day. Then I caught on that everyone was personalizing their pages. Me being me, I thought I’d make mine match what’s going on in my line. So my team and I took the bright, pop color sheet patterns that debut in February on HSN and turned them into wallpaper for you to use in personalizing your own page. I hope you enjoy them. Check back to see what designs I dream up next.
If you’ve been followIng me on twItter, then you’ve seen that I’ve truly been on the fly this month. I’m moving which means two things—first, my staff wants to kill me. In their defense though, I’m a bit OCD when it comes to keeping things organized. The thought of moving in and having to live amidst boxes for weeks and weeks doesn’t work for me. I’m running it like a military operation. The enemy: chaos...and since we all know nothing says chaos like a home move, you know I have a fight to wage. Second, I’m shopping everywhere—online, auctions, antique stores and big box chains. I’m pulling things from every direction and every price point. I’ve found some amazing things. And, I’ve realized that my tastes have changed again. Suddenly I’m into bright colors and modern finds that even a year ago, I would have walked right past in the store. But, I’m going with my gut. And you should too. If you see something you like, take note. Don’t shy away because it feels different than your “usual” style. Take a chance and haul it out to the trunk of the car. No matter what style your home, if it’s a piece you love, you’ll find a place for it.
