• Behind The Scenes: Ricky Martin’s Home In AD

After a bumper issue of Architectural Digest last month, the February issue didn’t disappoint with another chance to see more of Nate’s work – this time, the home of superstar (and super activist) Ricky Martin and his artist fiancé Jwan Yosef.

Their Beverly Hills home – designed in a swift two month period! – is a modern, vibrant, and warm space that combines earthy, neutral elements with glorious bursts of color and shine. Perfect for two artists, of course, but also for two active and dynamic nine-year-old boys, their twin sons Matteo and Valentino.

  • "Ultimately, I helped give them a solid, neutral foundation that they can cultivate together to make the home truly theirs. The sense of place is all about the future of their family.” -Nate Berkus

The home is furnished mostly with iconic 20th-century designs, as well as retail finds, and gems from Martin and Yosef’s collections. And with artwork curated by Yosef, an artist himself, the level of both spirit and taste are through the roof.

As for Martin, his goals for the home have been more than met. As he tells AD: “My main concern was for comfort and practicality, and I think we’ve accomplished that.”
