You already know there’s quite an inspiration process that goes into creating a collection. So it’s extra fun to see how pieces from that very collection can become muses in their own right. To see what we mean, look no further than the work of Nate Berkus Associates Creative Director @lauren.ashley.allan.
Lauren recently used a few pieces from Nate’s fall 2016 collection available at Target to create the kind of chic, sculptural Instagram posts her followers know and love her for. Take a look at how she let the unique style of each product spark an editorial moment. Who knew an artistic photo was just a Target trip away?!
Starting with the image at left – Lauren’s bold and painterly take on presenting the beaded lumbar pillow. We’re really feeling the texture here, thanks to the bold juxtaposition.
In perhaps the most striking post, a painterly background brings the handcrafted feel of these dessert plates to life. Who needs to actually use these for food – we now want them as art.
Which is to say: job well done, Lauren. We’ll be watching Instagram for more…
