Shop The Shoot: Initial and Monogram Decor

We were left with a healthy dose of envy after seeing the photos from the Seattle home Nate Berkus Associates transformed: bath envy, kids’ room envy, and… well, monogram envy.

Because among the Marra family’s many treasures, their collection of custom Hermès monogram and initial pieces (see above!) are so chic and so heirloom-ready, they inspired us to get shopping for some of our own.

  • #TeamNate’s Gabby Exner recreated the scene for us, with a lineup of pieces to curate your own personalized tabletop. Chief among her moves that made this “get the look” such a looker? Mixing and layering dinnerware to create the impression of a highly detailed placesetting (note the bold, black-rimmed salad plate over a classic white dish set).

Ready to shop? A smart savings to start with: lean on blank placecards you can personalize with your initials, monogram, or even entire last name. All the impact at a fraction of the cost. The cards here are from Jayson Home.

Also seen here, clockwise from top left. Beaded dinnerware from One Kings Lane, Textured white dinnerware from Wayfair, Espresso Maker from Amazon, Monogrammed napkins by West Elm, Monogrammed tea towel from Etsy, Black rimmed salad plates from Wayfair, Serveware and flatware from Anthropologie.

Water glasses, coffee, and creamer cup from IKEA; all else is vintage.
