Designing a furniture collection is no small feat. Jeremiah and I have jokingly referred to this new collection as our third child, because that’s how much time and care has gone into every decision! From the curve of a back, to the height of an arm, we were part of each piece from the very beginning. We took inspiration from so many places – from our travels, and what we live with in our own home; to mid-century Italian design, motifs from the 1970’s, and French art deco influences with sculptural appeal. Finishes like cerused ebony and blackened iron hardware make sure the collection also feels contemporary.
We really upped the ante for spring with three distinct collections – Galerie, Gramercy and Pavilion – that are meant to be mixed and matched, and layered in with what you already own in your home. No one buys “sets” anymore; we want people to know they can break the rules, and reach for what truly excites them. Also, can we talk about how practical this collection is? Think: USB ports, bed bases that double as storage, and a lift-up coffee table.
